Health Reform Anniversary

March 23, 11am-12:30pm- Join us at McGregor Homes to celebrate the 2-year anniversary of the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA, aka health reform).  Executive Director Danny Williams will MC the reception as several speakers reflect on the positive impacts already realized, as well as the importance of protecting the PPACA despite political threats at the state and federal level.

Rally to Cover the Uninsured

March 27, 8:30-10:30am- Stop by Neighborhood Family Practice to link with local and national advocacy groups, including We Are The Uninsured (WATU), the Young Invincibles, and our very own Patient Advisory Committee to raise awareness for health reform’s impact on our community.

Farmer's Market @ The Free Clinic- April 4, 11am-2pm

If you missed it in December, join us on April 4th for an indoor farmer's market held right HERE in our waiting room. Vendors will be selling fresh produce, soaps, oils, pies, prepared vegan foods, crafts and more. We're also offering free tax preparation services, a free financial literacy class, and free blood pressure screenings. The Free Clinic Annual Meeting

April 24th, from 7:30am-1pm, The Free Clinic is hosting its first annual meeting in the form of a community-wide summit titled Economic Development: What's Health Got To Do With It? Join us to explore the correlation between community health and the economic vitality of our region. Chair Yoga- Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm

Beginning April 18, 2012, join us at The Free Clinic for a weekly FREE yoga class to release some tension, increase circulation, and find your inner sense of calm.  Start with chair-based poses and advance to your feet at your own pace.  No registration is required.  The class is open to patients and volunteers, and is suitable for all skill levels (including beginners!).

Financial Literacy Class- 4 Course Series

The WECO Fund, Inc. and The Free Clinic have partnered to offer a series of free financial literacy courses to our patients, staff, and volunteers.  Courses are offered monthly.  View the schedule below and come learn how to fatten that piggy bank!
